Cabin in the Redwoods
Mendocino County California

What is being offered is unique and not to be found anywhere for its isolation, beauty of its natural, mountain forest scenes, privacy, and a magnificent river to swim in that goes through the middle of the property.

It is a place for a family or couples and friends to experience quality time together without distractions and become a part of nature.   A learning experience especially if you choose to take the free tour of the ranch and the forest on "Little Buddy".

Cabin in the Redwoods, at the Redwood  Forest Ranch, is a two-bedroom, one-bath A-frame with loft, located on a beautiful, private, remote, 400-acre valley Ranch at the end of the road with one mile of the wild and scenic Noyo River running through it.

We are located halfway between Willits and Fort Bragg. We're far away from people and cars; deer and other wildlife walk around freely and unafraid. You'll find pristine mountain air to breathe, as well as clean spring water to drink, soothing sounds, and stars bright enough to touch. There are 400 private, unspoiled acres for your enjoyment with 5 miles of hiking trails.

Access is year around, 10 miles off hiway, on a gravel logging road, 1 1/2 hr drive to the giant redwoods, the town of Mendocino, and the Pacific Ocean.

On the Spot Recommendation

testimonial
Amy Wheeler Lake Arrowhead, Ca
As we drove the last few miles toward the Bello property we had a
distinct feeling that we were going back in time.  We had driven 10
hours, we were tired and wondering what type of place we had actually
chosen for our honeymoon.  When we arrived we began to notice many
spectacular sights from the beautiful garden, the orchard, the meadow
and miles of trees.  The next morning we discovered even more beauty,
everywhere we looked was breathtaking.  We spent our days eating meals
in the outdoor Redwood Tree hollow dining room.  We swam in the most
beautiful blue-green swimming holes, we hiked up the scenic vistas and
took hundreds of pictures of wildflowers and wildlife.  By the time that
we left the property we felt as if we had been there a month; as if we
had checked out of society completely and it was wonderful!  Charles
and Vanna Rae, thank you for making our honeymoon full of joy, peace
and awe.  We are counting the days until we can come back!

We stayed in the cabin for a week last fall. We bragged so much about our stay our friends have made reservations.  I have never had such a relaxing vacation.  The area is so beautiful and the stars are so bright.  The hiking trails that the Bellos created are incredible.  We had the luxury of watching the deer feed just outside the door and the wild turkeys paid us a visit in the garden one afternoon.  The fish pond, just a few steps away is full of fish and newts.  One of the most beautiful I have ever see.  We will definitely be returning!!

Mark, Jennifer, Luke, and Rebecca Estrada We were looking for a unique vacation experience for our family when we stumbled across Charles Bello's website.  We decided that this was exactly what we were looking for.  As we drove down into the redwoods it was a step back in time.  The further we went, the more excited we became.  From the first moment we saw the Garden Cottage, we knew that we had picked the perfect vacation. Mr. Bello came by and gave us a tour and then we were on our own to enjoy the splendor of our natural surroundings.  We saw so much beauty and learned so much from Mr. Bello, that this was by far the most memorable vacation that we had ever spent. His knowledge and love of the redwoods has imparted to us the extreme importance of their preservation. We loved it so much that we hope to return again in March. It is a wonderful experience that cannot be matched in this world.
Thank you, Mark, Jennifer, Luke, and Rebecca Estrada

Random samplings from our guest registry:

What and amazing place - like camping in  the middle of he forest - with all the comforts of home.  To simply be present here in this sacred land, to encounter one mystical place after another, is a blessed gift of renewal and reconnection - a place where the spirit can come home. Many thanks for opening this special place to us, Jan Ally Sarasunak.

Thanks for the much needed quiet weekend in the woods...away from the city.  To be able to se the stars again and actually hear "silence"  We are looking forward to our next visit Jennnifer and Justin

It is always great to visit our friends.  An in this place we can empty our pockets (who needs keys, wallets and such things here?) ,  put away clocks and open our ears and eyes to nature.  By the way, the kid loves running around.  He thanks you both for letting him feed the deer.  Brian, Maria, Dexter, Chew

No visitor could love this place on earth any more than me.  This time I cried upon leaving.  Your hard work throughout the years is a gift to us all, Sherry
